New Member Orientation - June 5
- Are you a Broker with new agents coming into your firm?
- Are you a new agent?
You need to be at New Member Orientation on Thurs., June 5 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at ETSU at Bristol. Get to know other new agents and hear information about antitrust, REALTOR safety, agency, etc. New Member Orientation chair, Debbie Miller, has the morning planned for you.
The second half of New Member Orientation will be held in the fall when Pat Callebs will be teaching a 3 hour class on the Code of Ethics. This session is approved for CE in TN and VA and will satisfy NAR's Quadrennial Ethics Requirement. This portion will be made available to all members of BTVAR at no charge. The date is TBA.

Tennessee Contracts Class May 20
"Do I Know What I Think I Know About Tennessee Contracts?"
Susan Barnett will join us on May 20 at ETSU at Bristol to test our knowledge on Tennessee contracts. Several associations across the state have offered this class and Susan has gotten glowing reviews. Don't be left in the dark - take advantage of this opportunity. Class time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Last date to register is Friday, May 16 due to the large amount of handouts.
TREC To Visit Area May 28
The Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) will be in our area on May 28 for their "Spring Seminar." Members of the staff will update us on changes in licensure, education, etc. Contact the Association Office at btvar@btes.tv to make reservations. Attendees will receive 2 hours of TN CE credit at no charge. This session will be held at the NETAR office in Gray.
Thinking About Getting Your Virginia License
Thinking about getting your Virginia license…..you need to get it now. Effective July 1, 2008, all new Virginia licensees must complete their 30 hours of post licensure within 1 year. New licensees currently have 2 years to complete their education.
